Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy of our clients and the information entrusted to us. Our online payments are secured with significant safeguards in place with our payment processing merchant. Private information is encrypted and financial information is not saved.
Client attendance records are kept in a locked file in a locked office. After two years, the records are terminated. E-mail and mailing addresses are on file for notification of upcoming events. This information is completely confidential and never made public or sold.
Information We May Collect
We may collect information that can identify you such as your name, e-mail or personal address when you or (users) provide it to us when contacting us through the website or making a purchase. We may combine the personal information that we receive from different sources. Our server logs automatically collect information, such as IP address, browser type and date and time of visit which helps us track user’s movements around our site and understand trends for marketing and business development. We do not allow third-party advertisers on our website to display ads on our site. We do not provide any personal information to outside companies, agencies or networks. We only collect the information provided by you for the purpose of your contact for information, consultations or notifications of upcoming events.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. Should we ever do so, we will comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
You may choose:
- Not to provide personal information, however that will result in the inability to contact you.
- Stop receiving promotional emails or newsletters by sending us an email to opt out.
- To delete or decline cookies by changing your browser setting, although by doing that you may not be able to access all features on the website.
Security
We take appropriate physical, electronic and other security measures to help safeguard personal and financial information from unauthorized access, altercation or disclosure.
Changes in Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update our Policies and Procedures to reflect changes in our practices and services. If we make material changes in the way we collect, use or share your information we will notify you by e-mail or prominently post notice of change on our website.
ASHA Approved Continuing Education Seminars
Eligibility to Earn ASHA CEUs:
You must meet the criteria to earn ASHA CEUs. If you do not, there is no need to complete the ASHA CEU form at the course. Please have your ASHA account number available to write it on the form for your credit when you arrive. Listed below are ASHA’s criteria to earn ASHA CEUs at a seminar.
- Current ASHA member
- Holds the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Licensed by a state or provincial agency to provide speech-language pathology or audiology services
- Credentialed by a state or national agency to practice speech-language pathology or audiology
- Currently enrolled in a masters or doctoral program in speech-language pathology or audiology
- Engaged in a clinical fellowship under the supervision of an individual with their ASHA CCCs
Refund Policy When a Participant Must Cancel
Cancellation requests must be made in writing and received in our office, or emailed, 10 days prior to the seminar date for a refund. A cancellation fee of $50.00 will be assessed for processing. When a cancellation is made 3-8 days prior to the seminar date, 50% of the tuition minus the $50.00 processing fee will be returned, or, there is the option to take another program at the same value anywhere nationwide or online. When cancelling 48 hours prior to the seminar, a refund is not given. However, the participant will have the opportunity to take another program at the same value anywhere nationwide or online.
Refund Policy When Program is Cancelled by Speech and Voice Enterprises
In the unlikely event that Speech and Voice Enterprises must cancel a program, a full refund will be given as follows:
- Course paid by credit card: A full refund to the card will occur no later than 7 days after the cancellation notification.
- Course paid by check: Returned by mail if not cashed within 10 business days of date of cancellation or a new check will be mailed within 10 business days of date of cancellation.
Resolution of seminar conflict:
If a course participant is not satisfied with the quality or content of the program, a refund will be provided, if the seminar administer is notified by the first break or by 2 hours into the program. There is also the option to register in any other program nationwide at the same course value, if the current program is not meeting a participant's needs or the learning objectives were outside of their perception. Speech and Voice Enterprises will work with participants to resolve any issue that relates to the learning and their comfort level in the program. If it is an issue with comfort or visibility of the presentation, Speech and Voice Enterprises will work with the facility to ensure the needs of the participant are met. Speech and Voice Enterprises will do what is reasonable and necessary to proactively resolve complaints, concerns or potential issues on site.
Partial credit:
There are occasions when a participant has to leave a program early. If a participant is not eligible to receive a full credit, an adjustment will be made and their CEU certificate will be sent no later than 14 days after the program date. If taking the course for ASHA credit, an adjustment will be made on the ASHA participant form. The program participant will be eligible to receive (.1) credit for every hour of programming. For less than one hour, no credit will be offered. There is a 4-hour minimum requirement to receive any credit in a course.
Online Course Participants
ASHA form and post-test must be scanned within 48 hours to receive credit for the course.
